What an experience. I know they’re pricey but this truly is a once in a lifetime experience. We drove a tank, shot all sorts of guns and fired the flamethrower.
Tank and flamethrower are must things to do.
We had a fantastic time here! There are more activities than I had expected, in addition to an awesome museum where you can interact with a variety of armored vehicles and military equipment. The staff is wonderful... Tommy and Zale were there to help my family and to answer all of our questions; you can tell that these guys really have a passion for what they do. All-in-all, we had a great time and are already making plans to come back again... The ranch is beautiful, the rentable equipment is awesome, and the staff is great. I very highly recommend DriveTanks!
The first thought I have is if you're apprehensive about going, just lose that mindset. Press purchase, book the trip, and do everything you possibly can at this amazing place! Everyone that works there, right off the bat, was polite and courteous and genuinely enjoyed working there. The grounds are spectacular! This is connected to a place called ox ranch, it's basically like driving through a zoo or on Safari! The tanks are huge and everything is real and malleable! We will 100% go back, and find any excuse or celebration to figure out a way to get there! Worth every penny and then some. I took my boyfriend for his 40th birthday and we will go back for his 50th and we will figure out ways to take our kids. Absolutely phenomenal experience. If I could give it more than five stars I would!
It's cool. Don't get me wrong, but I'm not paying thousands to do what I got paid to do for 15 years. Staff were polite and the environment was great. But if I'm gonna pay thousands to fire a tank round, I want to shoot it at another tank 2500m away. This is just my opinion. Don't let this review steer you away.
Wow ! This place is awesome. We came here because my 12 years old sonis crazy about tank. It surprises me that my 17 years old daughter also loved it. Tommy Hartmann is a incredible guy who made the whole experience even more pleasant ! Definitely recommand it to anyone who loves tanks.
Amazing service. The guys that work there are great and very informative. I would absolutely recommend!
I took my husband to Drive Tanks for his 50th birthday in 2021. It was an amazing surprise and absolutely blew his mind. We stayed in the barracks and loved every minute. As an army veteran and WWII buff, the tank barn alone was super cool. Add the small arms, driving a tank, and shooting the flame thrower, it became a trip I thought I could not top.
He came home and talked so much about the experience, my dad booked a trip for the whole family that fall.
It was fantastic! We have a second whole family trip booked for this December when all of the grandkids are out of school.
Book it! You will not regret it!
An awesome experience. Our cadre, Tommy, did a great job of instruction and keeping everyone safe. Driving a real WW2 Sherman tank that fought in France and Belgium is a once in a lifetime experience. Unless you want to pay to do it again! Only in Texas, folks.
